Another Meeting Update

Once again our new meeting place was a hot topic during the last meeting. It was decided to have the April meeting at Putters near Milford. Putters is located very conveniently near 275 off of Hwy 28. The address is 5723 Signal Hill Court Milford, OH 45150. Please be patient and just enjoy the variety as we try out new places to meet. Discussion on this topic is highly encouraged via the forum section or by contacting our President or Vice President.

OHIO RIVER FOUR WHEELERS "ESTABLISHED 1991"

About Our Club
Ohio River Four Wheelers (ORFW) is a non-profit club in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Our goal is to enjoy recreational trail riding and to promote responsible, environmentally conscious off-roading. Our club is family oriented, with twenty-five active families in our membership.

Trail rides
ORFW conducts weekend trail rides once a month except during December and January. We also ride over the Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thansgiving holiday weekends. Trail rides begin at 9:00AM on Saturday, and last all day with lunch eaten on the trail. During the summer months, some members also ride on Friday and Sunday. For detailed information on ride dates and locations, please see the schedule or "Destinations" section of our website.

Vehicles
ORFW members drive several makes and models of four-wheel drive vehicles. We recognize that driver skill and vehicle capabilities are varied, and are accommodating to that fact. If you don't think your vehicle can conquer a particular obstacle...don't risk damage...go around it. There are almost always bypass trails. If you want to see what your vehicle can do, we are there with experienced advice and assistance. Where we go, we go as a group. No vehicle is ever left behind, even in the event of a breakdown.

Vehicle requirements for trail rides are:
    Required
  • All vehicles must be street legal with appropriate licenses and insurance
  • Front tow hooks or rings
  • Rear tow hooks or rings
    Recommended
  • First-aid kit
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Recovery strap (with no metal hooks)
  • Winch
  • Traction aiding differentials
  • CB radio

There is absolutely no consumption of alcoholic beverages permitted during an ORFW trail ride.

Please download and read the .PDF to understand more of the rules for our trailrides. It will also give an overview of what is needed or expected on the trails.

Other Activities
In addition to trail riding, ORFW members volunteer to assist with Rock Crawling events, trail clean-ups, and annually make contributions to charities of the communities in which we ride.

To join ORFW, you must attend one meeting, one trail ride, and then be voted in by the members. Dues are $55.00 annually. Portions of your ORFW dues are paid to these organizations so that you will become a member through the Club: United Four Wheel Drive Association and Southern Four Wheel Drive Association.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm at:
Golden Corral
4394 Glen Este-Withamsville Rd.
Cincinnati, Ohio 45245
